I’m Imlah Carey, the proud co-owner of Your Choice Accountants, LLC.

My business partner, Vicki Wright and I would receive calls from many small business owners who would ask us for advice on tax and accounting issues, new business start-ups as well as other business consultations because they knew we were certified, professional accountants.
We decided at that point to start our company to help small and medium-sized businesses maximize the time available to them to work on their business, while partner with them to provide business, tax and accounting services to ensure their business runs smoothly and in compliance with tax and other regulatory areas as well as know if their business is profitable.
We have been in business for more than ten years and have come a long way since inception. Initially, our business was seasonal in nature and mostly centered around the tax season. However, since 2014, we have been in business full-time, and have also worked as outsourced CFOs and interim controllers for other companies.
Our business today is more fast-paced and challenging in comparison to when we first started. In addition to providing our clients with excellent service, we have had to find innovative ways to attract new clients and keep up with the fast pace of changing technology and social media. Our livelihoods depend on the success of our company.

We are responsive, timely, and operate on values of transparency, honesty, and integrity. In other words, we do what we say we are going to do, and always go the extra mile to meet our clients’ expectations.

The ownership of doing a job well done for our clients is the most rewarding part of owning our business. Due to the nature of the services we provide, our clients have to trust us and our ability to come up with workable solutions to help them achieve success while running their business. So when clients end up succeeding, we feel a sense of fulfillment and pride.
When I’m not servicing my clients, in my downtime, I like to read and relax, socialize with friends, and spend time with family.
I also serve on the board of a nonprofit that provides resources and re-training for families to become self-sufficient and educational resources to help children stay in school.
